In his second letter to the Corinthians, St. Paul speaks of a particular struggle and how God gave him the energy to endure with the words: “My grace is sufficient for you.” It is in periods of deficiency in our lives that these words are the most welcome and the most confounding. What does God mean when he tells us that his grace is sufficient? How do we appropriate and rest in this truth? In this six week sermon series we will explore the stories of five New Testament characters who discovered the sufficiency of God’s grace. In the face of losses, in answer to their deepest longings, in response to overwhelming challenges, they each learned about what could not be taken away and came to feel embraced by a love that would not let them go.
