Service at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church

There are a variety of ways to serve through the ministries of Emmanuel.  As a small congregation we are not a church that is run by staff, but a congregation whose ministries are sustained by God’s call in the life of our members.  So whether it be serving coffee on Sunday mornings or working in our community garden, our service is powered by people who respond to the call of God. Emmanuel Farm

Emmanuel Farm welcomes everyone who wishes to become involved. Come “putter” with us, every Saturday morning during the growing season, 9:00-11:00AM. Learn to garden, enjoy chatting and some coffee, and grow food for our neighbors in need! NO experience necessary; if you have any gardening tools and gloves, please bring them along.

Emmanuel Farm is a non-profit, volunteer and grant-based organization affiliated with the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Bothell, WA.  Utilizing a portion of the church grounds along with sustainable agricultural techniques, the mission of Emmanuel Farms is to produce healthy, nutritious food for the benefit for those living in food-vulnerable circumstances. The majority of food produced at Emmanuel Farm is utilized as a vessel which connects us with these individuals through shared meals and experiences. 

Through classes, seminars, and hands on participation, members of the congregation and community are invited to learn about sustainable and permaculture food production techniques. In this way, Emmanuel Farms operates as a vehicle which fosters community while promoting efforts geared toward greater ecological, economic, and social sustainability.

The Farm provides the opportunity for Emmanuel Presbyterian Church to expand its continued efforts to live out Christ’s greatest commandment, which compels us to care for those living in need. As we strive for good stewardship of the Earth and all its inhabitants, it is our hope that Emmanuel Farms continually sees God’s hand at work; that we may be one piece in the broader effort to achieve a healthier, more stable, and more compassionate world.

Campbell Farm

Campbell Farm is located on the Yakama Indian Reservation in Wapato WA. It was owned and operated by the Campbell Family for most of this century. In 1978, Nellie Campbell willed the 40 acre farm to the Central Washington Presbytery. Since that time, the farm has been a part of the larger family of Christ. The facilities historic buildings and warm, country atmosphere, make The Campbell Farm a true gem in the Presbyterian "family" of conference and retreat centers. The farm is currently part of the Northwest Coast Presbytery.

Campbell Farm serves the community in several ways. It has successfully organized and operated a strong children's program for the past 15 years through a variety of programs including: after school programs, youth leadership training, summer camps and a summer feeding program that provide meals to housing projects on three sites, including the farm itself.

There is an opportunity at Emmanuel to take an annual fall trip to Campbell Farm for apple gleaning and other activities.

Hopelink

Hopelink is a social services nonprofit agency that serves north and east King County, Washington, with food banks, energy assistance, housing, a family development program, transportation and adult education. Emmanuel supports Hopelink all year long through the collection of food donations. There is a donation box located in the narthex where we accept unexpired non-perishable food. We also collect donations of toys and clothing during the holidays.

Neah Bay Christmas Party

A long standing tradition at Emmanuel is a trip to the Presbyterian Church in Neah Bay where we join with other churches in the Northwest Coast Presbytery to put on a Christmas party for the community.  The trip normally takes place during the second week of December.  For more specific information email info@epcbothell.org with your questions.
