As he contemplates the mystery and the majesty of God the writer of Psalm 139 exclaims, “Such knowledge is too wonderful to me; it is so high that I cannot attain it. (Ps 139:6)” Yet this height does not keep him from spending the next 18 verses stretching to grasp what seems beyond his reach. God may be more than we can ever comprehend, but that shouldn’t keep us from trying to know the one who made us. In the process of growing in our knowledge of God, we are confronted with questions that seem beyond our ability to answer; but God’s invitation to us is to sit before those questions and allow them to lead us into a deeper knowledge of and relationship with God. In this five-part sermon series, we will sit before some of those questions and listen to what God might have to say to us.
